A brief description of the manga “Sabitsuita Ken” wo Tameshi ni Kyoukashite Mitara, Tondemonai Maken ni Bakemashita:
In this world, when you turn twelve, God gives you a special weapon called a sacred weapon.
Rust, a boy living in a remote village, dreams of becoming an adventurer with his childhood friend Ruby. Ruby receives the highest rank, A, but Rust receives a battered, F-ranked rusty sword.
Unlike his childhood friend who was recruited by a top-ranked party, Rust was told that his dream of becoming an adventurer would never come true, but he didn’t give up and decided to fight with his rusty sword.
He defeats weak monster little by little and steadily strengthens his rusty sword.
Eventually, after three years, the Rusty Sword finally reached weapon level 10.
At that time, a skill awakened in the rusty sword, and it evolved into an overpowered magical sword.
This is an adventure story of a boy who was always told he was the weakest.
Story so generic I hope EVERY single character brutally dies in an eternal fire over and over again for eternity.
From what that description of this story is, sounds honestly more generic than Izuku’s Midoriya’s story when he had OFA 😒. I can just tell from the summary alone it sounds like a generic cliche story.
The premise is generic, and you’d think the author would use the saved effort to write a really solid story in his generic world. But, the plot and worldbuilding is sloppy. Pretty weak.

Generic as fuck. And the most generic kind of fuck. Missionary…
This starts out seeming very mid, but an unusual central mechanic and a romantic triangle make it more and more interesting. Never quite sure where it’s going next or where it will end up. I liked it several times. I recommend and wish it’s still going.
Summary: Everyone gets a sacred weapon from the deity at the coming-of-age ceremony, but MC gets a dud that’s secretly OP and his girlfriend hits the jackpot and is whisked away to a life of celebrity far from MC. Also the world is crazy unfair so you know who to root for.
