Summary
A brief description of the manhwa A Rogue Guard in a Medieval Fantasy:
In a brutal, lawless medieval world where war and poverty reign, and twisted magic defies all reason, the captain of the guards grinds through another grueling day, pushing his battered body to the limit in a land where survival itself is a merciless test.

Not gonna lie, it was a pretty brutal hiatus for something of this quality.
To have a hiatus after 28 chapters? Even more so.
However, assuming that this manhwa will continue updating somewhat regularly, I highly recommend this.
The isekai aspect is mostly in the background with the MC bringing it up in his thoughts that this is a backwards medieval time and the story taking place far after he isekai’ed and mostly assimilated into this world.
The art is quite good, the story is nice so far, action is good, the characters are flavorful and not flat, and I like the MC with both him being conservative in his attitude (not trying to stand out yet still being competent and an asset) in how he is perceived with a money hungry personality.
It’s not completely there yet in terms of world building, but hey, that’s hard to do with this few chapters released (32 at the time of this review).
Overall, I’d recommend this one.
A solid 7.7/10 as of now, with potential for a 8.5/10 pending more chapters (possibly higher as the world and story is more fleshed out).
Just
6 chapters in raw
What a damn hiatus

for news about this btw auther is ill so expect a while
How do I get notified when the next chapters come out?
write it down authors this is how you do medieval setting manhwas this is peak bro on everything great art mc is a absolute troll I suggest letting this marinate for 100 chapters atleast
This is GREAT!!! 10/10
This right here is a proof that something with simplistic plot can still be peak. I’d rather read this hundreds ney thousands of times more than a generic, cliched manhwas with op characters and special systems where mc recincarnates as a loser and shows everyone how op he is. Though you won’t find convoluted plot and extraordinary action, since this one this one has more of a episodic plot. Nevertheless as of chapter 23 I’d still rate it as a nice 7-8/10, better than 98% of literal brainrot out there.
Needs to marinate more. 50 chapter minimum rule
It’s interesting, but 21 chatpers in, there really isn’t any real major plot going on. Something something the blood of a noble girl, something something demons. Everything else is just like a Saturday morning cartoon with episodic plot.
We practically don’t know anything about anybody yet. It’s a fantasy medieval setting, and our MC was part of a merc group in the past, that he was the sole survivor of and now works as a city guard. There is absolutely 0 world building and practically no plot so far.
There are a few chapters that have shit translations. Go to Vortexscans.com since they weren’t patient enough to get the latest chapters.
translation back to good chapter 16 and after.

It’s good but the premise is messy.
He isekai’d here, so he has modern man’s knowledge and he hates the medieval times… but just acts like a medieval barbarian anyways… so what was the point of the isekai? Why even loathe the medieval era if you’re gonna be part of it? The plot is interesting but that aspect just stands out weirdly…
