Nvm, they starter party were all just full of ignorant fools lmao. If you really wanted to make adventuring your job and really tried to become the strongest from an early age just so that you could get a strong job, wouldn’t you try to at least learn a bit about it? Even if they didn’t have access to that many books, couldn’t they just ask other people or adventurers about these things? “The whole village had always looked at us with scornful eyes, we were just the outcast orphans…” 
Let’s be real here, that’s just a lame a** excuse. Besides, there’s obviously going to be travelers that leave and visit the village from time to time, even if you couldn’t leave it to go and learn from other people in other towns or whatever.
