One might be tempted to draw comparisons to nuclear weapons here, but that just doesn’t cut it.
As devastating as nukes are, they are, not counting the fallout and irradiation, a single use weapon that can be confidently controlled in terms of targeting.
Calamities are living monsters. Once unleashed they’re just going to keep going until they’re stopped. They’re not going to stay in the one area. It’s going to fight back against any attempts to control it. It might destroy your enemies but it’s for sure going to try its best to destroy you too.
This is just madness.
