A brief description of the manga Salaryman Ga Isekai Ni Ittara Shitennou Ni Natta Hanashi:
Dennosuke Uchimura is a simple office worker who one day dies in a traffic accident and is called to another world. He is recognized by the Demon King as one of the Four Heavenly Kings. Will Dennosuke be able to survive as a servant of the Demon King and meet his expectations?
The story starts interesting, with some clever worldbuilding. It goes on to make some characters you can get to know and care about.
There are some translation issues in the middle chapters, but it gets better. I recommend sticking it out.
Look, I’ll be honest with ya – the logic is not that great. The people don’t exactly think right, and they will become stupid at some times for the sake of the plot.
But that’s O.K. – this story is not about MC outsmarting everyone. It’s about him adapting to the same job in a new world, just like how people need to adapt when working overseas. It’s a different place: different culture, thinking, traditions, values, etc. In that regard, the plot is excellent.
So I’d give it an 8/10 at the very least. I don’t approve of using people’s stupidity as a plot device, especially
