He shot at her right foot, then did a leftside headshot, rightside shoulder shot, rightside headshot, a headshot from the front, and finally a leftside headshot.
Also, the instructor was shown she had the sense and reaction speed to easily block the magic projectiles with her sword, so she was the one in control on where the shots ended up contacting the sword.
It makes more sense to say that the MC was just adjusting his magic and technique to slowly increase the power of his snipe until it was just enough to break the magic sword. Ya kno? So he doesn’t accidentally snipe through the sword and end up killing the instructor.
Except the author made the premise that the picked up rod only had a limited amount of firepower. So now both reasons are just a fat load of BS.
