That moment when you come back to a Raid you haven’t done in almost a year, but between your instincts and teammates you remember most of the mechanics, and then die to the last minute insta-kill move.

Except there IS a way to stop it: put it on the verge of death before the tentacles grab it, wait for them to envelop the creature and pull it towards the hole, and then unleash 1 last devastating long-range attack down the pit on the creature.
That way, the “last big meal” turns into a live grenade that goes off right in Cthulhu’s arms/face/mouth.
