Epic as in story, with this being the advanced version it means there is probably a normal Vorpal Epic quest in which you are only told part of the story

Anyway, the author is a gamer himself and the fact that he inserts such lore into it really shows.
This chapter revealed a hidden mechanics of the game that is problematic. It seems like if you die in the Kingdom of the Rabbits, you might not be able to wake up. This would strongly suggest Vash has several strong players “imprisoned.” And this opens up a new question. Is it possible for a unique to replace a player in real life?
This was explored in the movie 13th Floor where, spoiler, it was discovered that it is possible for the avatar to take over a player and thus ascends to a new realm of reality. Thus, a simulated being becomes real but this can only happen by killing the avatar while the avatar is in use by a real person.
