MC should have brought a log with him and repeated what he did to the Hero on the Goddess…

The lame treatment of the hero was unsatisfying.
I would want them to be beaten down in spite of their grotesque gods gifts.
As it is he was beaten because he was in a weakened state and they are still a threat.
They have nothing else to live for yet are still alive. I suppose they can come back pumped up by their grotesque gods promise of healing.
Or the hero has a p3n1s inflation arc like mishooko tenshi and then bangs his childhoor frand. Oh right that could be a side-story. 
Hell hath no better torture nor more degenerate act than a prequel or a side-story.
