Summary
A brief description of the manga The Reincarnation Record of Bocchi:
An unemployed, virgin 29-years-old Loner man who has a very deep distrust toward humans was trying to save a woman who was almost raped. He is stabbed in the chest by the assaulter and left to die alone while cursing the humans. When he came to, he realized that he had reincarnated in another world as the second son of a lower noble family where magic and spirit exist as a human baby named Ash Hawkwood.
Without talent for [True Magic] or [Swordmanship], this the story about how he build his own empire from scratch by using his own power!
If you are a 29 year old virgin, I don’t see being Isekaied would change anything. You would still need to muster out the courage to ask a girl out at some point. If they love you just because you’re powerful, they probably are bitches who doesn’t love you for real.
This is so bad … it’s your classic Isekaid MC but with dumber characters all around. MC is dumb as hell, and the people around him are even dumber.
The description makes you think MC is going to be someone gritty with a hard boiled attitude …. but he is as naive is not more than your average isekai MC.
Chapter 1 and MC is already OP as hell, and already has an heroine who completely trusts MC, and is willing to keep being a slave for a complete stranger she just met. Totally realistic right ? Even with the ” I never met someone who treated me right” excuse the author made.
Let’s move to chapter 2, After MC’s failed rescue attempt, he goes to the slave market, so what do the slaver there does ? of course, what any merchant would do, he tells MC to go away because he ”smells” he has no money on him. Oh yeah, what a great business practice , tell your potential customers to go away because they didn’t brought their wallets !.
So anyways, he says he will buy the slave girl … even though he could totally rescue her by force, because that makes sense right ?!?!? Even going as far as saying he would pay double for her.
So evilest villain slaver does what any other merchant would do when someone tells him they would pay double for a product … decides to try to make him go away by asking him 20 times the price !.
You know, at this point I stopped caring about MC, and started wondering the conundrum how does that slaver remains in business, he kicks people away for dumb reasons, he tries to rip off customers with absurd prices ….. he is either the only slaver around or is bankrupt and that’s why he charges so much.
At first seemed good if you turned your brain off a little, then derailed at chapter 8 and got confusing as hell.
