Personally I did like the tattoo design but, guess easier for the artist. Thus the back story behind them, handle that change good enough for me

yeah. looks like the noble’s son is the bad guy, and everyone who responded to my hypothesis was correct. I hope things work out for the mc. Rolling for a redemption arc where the Noble steps in to stop his son before things get out of hand.
