im big in to history and idk if the laws will be the same but most if not all nobles from like 600-1500
they would not let people in the town they control be taken by other nobles BUT people were not able to leave the nobles town they were born in
if they were surf
im thinking MC was not a surf so
he should have the right to leave
meaning all he needs to do is get 2 nobles towns away and not a neighbor lord who trades with that tra sh noble son
they would give up a person or 2 just to keep trade flowing
if he can make weaker pots to heal cuts he can be protected but not forced to work
