Bah, sure its cool (I guess) but the power levels make no sense. Vassago has been planning this for a while and its implied that the priests are strong enough to contest Gilles and by the looks of it they were as Gilles was looking pretty rough before Vassago activated his curse. From what we were shown prior, Gilles shouldve been rocking these guys. Skelle isnt even close to as strong as he was in the prior world and he made them look like the bandits from the first chapter. Imagine if the red knight that killed Gilles died to a surprise attack and was defeated in a single panel because these guys almost beat her and Vassago was just here for the ks.
But I get it, the priests aren’t important, theyre just here to make skelle look cool so he can save Gilles.

You know, it’s really cool to cut an enemy in half, but when you think about those scenes in stuff…think about it…Cutting someone in half horizontally is mostly about just all the soft bits and the spine. VERTICALLY you’re going through the full skull and down every single bit of the spine…That is some POWER!!!!
