for those who aren’t aware it is established that lu-lium cannot be created or destroyed there is a finite amount it is effectively a permanent power source the more you have the more power it produces so it cannot be “consumed” as there is a finite amount as in there will only ever be a certain amount of lu-lium in the world when our mc takes the stuff into his circuits and then dies that lu-lium is then permanently removed from where it was obtained from as there is a fixed amount of li-lium in the world so when she says its being “consumed” she is lying so she has to be moving it somewhere to give the illusion that it is being “consumed”

I’ve got a suspicion that the dream machines are only using a small fraction of the Lu-lium – and the majority of it is coming down to fill this huge tank. Then idk – being smuggled over to the empire?

btw to anyone who is like “doesnt make sense to have 9999 tons of lurum in Ember, and treat it like coca cola”, here is my head-canon to cope:

This dream liquid consumes like 0.01 grams of Lurum, and neeeds processing alongside some other liquids. So that dream liquid isn’t lurum, hence skeleton doesnt drink it all to powerup to the point of ending the manga in 10 chapters.
Again, head-canon but it works to solve this huge plot hole.
