Skeleton Soldier Couldn’T Protect The Dungeon - Chapter 329

Don’t tell me, he is gonna need to snap out of it and get killed so that he can fast travel all the way back to the last spawn with the scarab. He can’t be the protag anymore in that life. He already went chaotic evil on the remaining humans and demons, and his buddy. Or are the 10,000 whatevers somehow linked to all of the yokai getting assimilated? Don’t know, now its getting to the point where anything goes and if the writer is put in a corner, just restart. I honestly didn’t think so little, plotwise, would happen since he left Amber. He got his goal, the bug, so, yeah. Its still moving at a glacial pace. The demon schemes in the Empire seem pretty timid now.

Also, the pace is faster with less reliance on exposition from whole pages of repeated blue windows. Though, now, I don’t know what the heck the MC is doing, its like every turn, he loses all focus and ends up doing something that messes almost everything up. Almost like he barely ever learns or improves except for “the system”.

Yeah, the story is dragged out so it was harder to notice it but it’s a repeating narrative.

MC ultimately has no character progression, I get that he resets when he dies however he is also resetting his progression at certain points.

So yes its fine everyone has a death flag, but the MC never gets any smarter, gets any wiser, he just never learns from his mistakes. It would be good if he was making different mistakes, but he keeps making the exact same ones over and over.

When an MC shows no character progression even if there is story progression its hard to appreciate it.
