Humanity as a whole? That’s actually the wrong question. Since some are evil, you can’t protect them from the destruction which they ultimately will find (and create) ways to bring down upon themselves. However, the rest still need and deserve the chance to live long enough so they can make up their own minds whether they will be decent people, or slowly turn into garbage …which is all too common.
