Sieg is an adventurer with an incredible defensive power, and he always uses himself to attract the monsters’ attention to assist his teammates. However, the party leader just focused on offense without realizing Sieg’s intention, so he kicked him out.

At the same time, Sieg took the position of gatekeeper at the Royal Capital. Thanks to his defensive power, he was quickly promoted to division captain.
His subordinates included a carefree big-breasted Swordswoman, a perverse freakish girl, and an Archer with an erratic temperament. He and the girls started slowly gaining the trust of people around them!
You know those Isekai or reincarnation stories where the fact the protagonist is Isekaied or reincarnated is only mentioned or relevant in the first few chapters and then pretty much never again?
This story is a lot like that.
MC used to be an adventurer in a party (until he was kicked out for being “useless”), and there’s even an adventurer guild, but the story 99% of the time treats adventurers like they’re not a thing at all.
Everything that would normally, in the majority of fantasy series be handled by adventurers is done by the guards and or the knights. Neither adventurers nor their guild seem to have any presence in the capital of any kingdoms.
Not that the series is bad or anything, but it’s just weird.

It’s got potential, but for me who already reading a ton of dark story this manga just too “bright” therefore making it below average.

all the main characters are obviously meant to be “dysfunctional but effective” characters but because the writing sucks they’re all just weird unlikable as sholes

This manga follows the classic trope of the “kicked out of a party but was discreetly overpowered” that we all have come to love or hate. If it’s done well, then it’s surprisingly enjoyable but no greater than that. If it’s done poorly, then it’s boring and anticlimactic. This manga, of course, follows the latter as there’s not much tension nor is there any real interest besides for the waifus that the author cleverly made to entice readers.
Characters are bare-bone with probably zero character development, you can sort of tell how they would be “developed,” in other words, they fall in love with the mc and all the cliches, etc. Now what happens when you combine a mostly emotionless mc with the pretext of he slow life genre? Nothing fun nor good. It’s just boring as there’s no excitement or tension being formed because of how ridiculous the mc acts or does not act I should say.
This manga is painfully average and the only pulling factor to read his is for the waifus and the pseudo revenge/satisfaction of the former party failing. Another brain-rotting read to pass the time and nothing more.
