For those confused, this is the illustrated equivalent to when anime uses slide shows to fill time and save on budget. Basically, MC tried to fight boss, failed, got injured. Everyone’s scrambling, bad things are happening off-screen. The mage girl is consoling one of the side characters that’s having a mental breakdown. Mostly off-screen but denoted by key panels, the succ risks her life to protect MC and gets eaten. Mage girl suddenly somehow knows about eggs for tracking and attracting void beast, MC gathers to eggs to lure the void beast, uses dark elf summoner’s eyeball as a medium to seal it, gets his succ GF back, returns. May or may not have a void beast summoning tool now, may or may not suffer giant backlash for dramatic purposes
