I read this before when there were fewer chapters. It starts as one story and then the narrative shifts kind of abruptly. I liked the first story, it was shaping up to be a moving allegory about loss and acceptance, and had an appealing supporting character. After only a few chapters, it stubbornly pursues a grimly unoriginal shonen style level-up/punch-up/power of friendship narrative, and it’s not well done. The art is good, and the MC was promising enough that it was truly disappointing how it went. I still recommend, just know it will probably frustrate you.
Summary: Weak slave in a hero party gets betrayed and finds the secret power of the dungeon, which makes him OP. Later revealed to be (gasp) the chosen one.

Just a heads up to everybody who is thinking about starting this. Look at the release rate. 21 chapters in 2.5 years… That’s on average roughly 1 new chapter every 6 weeks!! Personally i won’t give this a try for that reason. Because even if it’s good, it sucks to start enjoying a manga and then have to wait weeks for a single new chapter.

One of the few better ones I’ve seen. Grisly and kinda brutal, though I kinda wish the MC was more merciless or more torture friendly. I Personally think tearing off limbs is not a big enough punishment
