I like how they set up Rudiger as this villain that we would be expected to tackle later in the series. He eventually becomes one of Vlad’s closest allies and a supportive comrade. I love all the twists and turns this series takes. It’s my third time reading it and it never fails to entertain each time. Can’t wait until it gets animated!
