Star-Embracing Swordmaster

The comments and ratings are legit. This is one of the better series I’ve binge read for fantasy action.

– The author cares about the characters. I didn’t expect half the callbacks and it hits pretty hard when it happens.
– The world building is deep enough to make sense. Maybe it’s too early in novel but rn it’s the right balance of fantasy without needing handwavy hacks to make the action good.
– Because the world building makes sense, some of the mysteries are a bit too obvious. Like they hint who the voice his, and where the orphan MC came from. You kinda want the MC to force the issue after the 5th+ mention, but it’s more an itch to scratch since it legit builds towards it.
– The MC is not a pushover tool. That said, ig it’s Korean law to make all novel MC harem bait and ignore all forms of relationship building except 1/2 waifu candidates to maybe-maybe-not ship until the bitter end(?).
– The fighting and mechanics are ok enough but not that memorable. It doesn’t stray far from what other fantasy novels have. I’ve binge read too many 100ch series here. For swordplay Regressed Mercenary’s Machinations is better. For the knight system, Eternally Regressing Knight is more interesting.That’s real good company to compare against. Any of these three would land in top 10 for people who’ve read them. And maybe it’ll expand when he becomes a knight? Who knows?
– How the story progresses deserves another mention. Since the author cares enough about what the characters do, the non-action panels feel less wasted. Like character development matters more rather than annoying filler you scroll past. Not all are likeable but some growth makes a difference on here.

I wrote this much because it deserves it. It feels like the author worked hard enough that I’d bet another 50ch will be just as good.
