The dragon fragment is probably the one that was given to the North by the pilgrims that Vlad protected earlier.
I think it was explained horribly, but I think Ravnomah is the bearer of the pact in the West, and they gave their fragment to Baranov, who is the bearer of the pact in the North. This guy they just killed was probably some knight of Ravnomah who is talking about how they gave this fragment away instead of saving their bloodline. Idk why the red-haired dude said heir, though. Maybe a new character?
Not to say that Vlad isn’t dragon-blooded or smth. I think he is since he looks too similar to the dragonslayer guy, and that same guy got angry about them insulting Vlad’s blood.

For people confused, this is my understanding (not saying it is right):
Vlad is the child that these people are protecting. Sounds like his mom took him away to protect him from his own family. Vlad = “dragon’s fragment” = true ruler of the west. I’m making shit up, but I’m assuming there were a couple dragon families, Vlad’s was one of them, but the Dragon Slayers basically got Gaidar (red head guys from the west) to overthrow Vlad’s family. Also, since they’re talking about trust, I think the red heads were probably traitors to Vlad’s royal family.
