I actually love this kind of MC. He is more of an anti-hero, and that is refreshingly different in modern manhwa. I have personally grown tired of the kind but cluelessly dense MC, or the timid but powerful MC who only fights to “protect their friends.” I actually enjoy a pragmatic hero, who believes in the neutrality of the world. Nothing in life comes for free, and sometimes you have to do the wrong things for the right reasons.
