They keep calling them “Vassals”… shouldn’t it be “Squire”, “Knave” or “Page” instead?
Vassals are usually Nobles serving under other Nobles with a higher title or even royalty in order to govern part of their lands in their stead.
And that is not at all appropriate for the MC or the other apprentices there…

did… maybe… mean to say “Maternal Bloodline”, as in his mother’s side of the family?

Ok, get in who ever the opponents are.
I don’t understand why everyone takes the mc bravery as arrogance, he’s on the borderline of being arrogant be he definitely isn’t, he’s not selfish or self-centered either he helps other people with given the chance.
