HELL FREAKING YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! That was epic!! I loved how what he did was all meant to be directed towards literal bug pests hurting the tree but that his magic, because the tree represents the forest, affected the pests of the forest, aka the humans trying to conduct sacrificial rituals to hurt it!!! Then after that, his pissed-off yell was translated into magical force akin to either a gravity spell or a dragon’s oppressive aura. Finally, the slaves getting to walk away freely because they held no ill will for the forest. BEAUTIFUL chapter!!
How did he burn them to ash and then turn them into a body part filled blood puddle? The whole burning to ash thing should have gotten rid of any recognizable anything.
