oooook, this is where I start seriously smelling BULLSH!T.
If he had the time to think all that while the two arrows were approaching he definitely could have thrown himself on a side and avoided both arrows. I don’t see the point of using a shield for an arrow when you can just move.
It’s not the only stupid thing happened until now btw, so, I am still giving this the benefit of the doubt but if the pace and story keep progressing so slowly and the plot shows more unreasonable things (in a story based on reasonability compared to other similar ones) I’ll drop.
