The family picture of Hans isn’t shown in the manhwa, but in the novel it becomes relevant again in chapter 510 (corresponding to manhwa chapter 342). That’s what I love about Surviving as a Barbarian: Even tiny details become relavant (much) later again and they fit well. That shows that the novel author really cares for his story and is re-reading it.
