Rare opportunity?
Unless these were quite literally particular Chinese phrases that read characters defining something else and it’s some odd name or idiom that doesn’t directly translate. At which point you should include the original and the explanation.
I’ll give a completely made up example. Let’s say, “This is a rare opportunity” originally reads, “han wo bin” (these are made up words/characters) and would directly translate to ” deity’s golden mountain”. Nobody would know wtf that means because they’re not native speakers and that’s just the native phrase for, “rare opportunity”. The asterisk part should explain the original phrase / hanja / kanji / characters
