With the Church. Where is the Inquisitors that come to make sure that the Head Priest is not overstepping his authority or doing what that Fat Priest is doing?

i think its always the fat nobles or popes or something that is evil almost all the time

One can tell from how it reeks of pacifism that the story was written by a Japanese author. The drawing, character creation, conflict setting, and other visuals are just fine, but the do no harm to others is a prevalent theme in such novels, unlike Chinese and Korean authors. Is it even remotely realistic to be threatened with a possible life and death battle, surrounded by evildoers, and yet none of the adversaries were to be seriously injured in return—even predictable beforehand.
