wasn’t it obvious that the first choice, the weakest one, had the most potential… MC totally screwed up selecting the evil dragon path..

If we’re looking at it objectively, the calamity dragon likely has the highest combat potential. It did say a calamity dragon wiped out an entire country. However, that’s not exactly what he was looking for with that choice, so yeah, pretty dumb. At the same time, I think that the VOG deliberately lured him into that choice with the human transformation art, and not mentioning the biohazard skills. It was explicitly stated that the angel dragon has low combat potential, so also not a great move. in my opinion, the kid marble dragon would likely have been the best choice.
