aww, no floating castle in sky home base?
also, wouldn’t ot be faster to travel by sword flight? or did they forget? is it easier by wolf/faster? or less mana? probably more comfortable than standing/surfing/concentrating the whole time.

So I’ve been giving the manga a re-read and the lore density in these past two chapters. My goodness. I like that this manga is more about the journey, taking their time seeing new things, making new friends. However, little peeks like these into whatever the deeper goings-on might be … they are good hooks. Some god drama behind the scenes? The lingering remnants of the goddess of knowledge and … is that Fenrir’s spirit? Looks kind of lupine, Fenrir makes sense given where Master started, and also how his summoned minions are wolves (just Urushi, but he did have the option to summon other wolf types).
Anyway, good characters and character dynamics are the important things. All this stuff with gods and whatever – interesting, but ultimately probably not more than adventure hooks at some unknown point in the future.
