Given how tight Mei and Iku is, I’d say its all on Iku for never asking for such treatment. Its not like she’d refuse an order after all.
I think it will take Mai a while to settle in, but, I like her.

The fact that the author is able to keep up the character development for each character is dope, now i’m worried when the gf count goes to 50

That’s one thing I really like about this series; things that happeened before don’t just get sweeped forever under the reset rug; that’s why Kurumi and Chiyo can come and do something like this.
It makes reading more interesting.

Third time reading through and, must admit, I wasn’t a fan of Mai until this readthrough. Her intro chapter I finally got how much she was into Renterou, and that her love of Mei has become one of their shared favorite hobbies (like movies with Momiji or books with Shizuka).
But dang, this might be the best “meet the fam” chapter I can remember. I didn’t get that vibe the first two times through but, this is so much fun. We get to see them all as maids (again, not a trial in my book), each of their oddities at play (does Iku ever stop being weirdly (very weirdly) adorable?). And a great move to have Chiyo and Kumari, not the two most popular GFs in the fandom (save for Kumari as Karene’s straightwoman wingman) be the ones reaching out. It makes their characters better too. So, well done, one of my favorite chapters of all the series.
Oh…and so many cute panels. I’d never noticed that Momiji (who I find adorable) never smiles. I guess Eiei is thinking of facts and she’s focus on groping, and for neither is a smile needed. So this was just a great page!
