I’ve always been Team Shizuka but I honestly believe that this manga wouldn’t’ be half as funny if it were not for Karene. Its not just her straight-man act, its that her straight-man schtick is so brutal and honest and she has (especially for a text based character) incredible comedic timing. Add in the way her tsundere elements play in her being a straight-man and you have, even more than Reterou, the best character and the most essential.
Plus she’s just so darn cute.
