Eh, I never much liked this trope where the character with a quick is revealed to have a family who all have that quirk. The manga already did it with Breaking-Bad-senpai, and it was surprisingly okay, but this time it’s too out of left field for me!

I still can’t decide “Best Girl” because, dang…so many great ones (Shizuka, Uto, Karene, Momiji, Iku…) but hands down the best and most important character for this story’s humor and flow (aside from Aijou boy) is Karene. Looking back everyone of my favorite chapters has featured her. Her and Ahko on the day out. Her and Renterou crossing the ceiling ala Tom Cruise. Her loss of her tsundere powers. To say nothing of her instantly epic one-liners as lead straight-man. She’s one of my favorite characters in any manga because she’s just so cute and funny.

And now we find out the sad truth…the poor girl never had a chance. She was going to be a tsundere from the moment of conception. Her family is awesome (does anyone have any hearing left?) and while both expected and unexpected, truly cute. And then she shows her true heart by talking marriage and babies…what a turn!

So many great panels…and Renterou just hangs in through the pressure once again to say and do the right thing. And escapes without physical punishment from one of Karene’s outbursts for the first time!
