I’ve always said that Shizuka is best girl and Karene 1B, but third time re-reading and you know what, Karene isn’t just best girl, she’s actually the most important character in this whole story. She not only plays straight man, but she is so perfectly the audience’s voice. And arguably the most adorable tsundere in media. The VA who does the dub for the anime actually nails her (so does the original VA), so when she yells out “Hakari came out of her hooha” i almost choked because only Karene can say that.
MVP Karene.
Oh yeah, and Renterou rocks. MI’s his way over laser beams by snugging with his tsundere, takes down the lie detector without breaking a sweat, seduces a mom with one look, and rescues the damsel in distress. The only harem MC ever worthy of being a harem MC
