I think it’s sorta obvious to Ellison that there’s a lot of shenaniganery going on. The black dragons except for the grandpa can’t be trusted, there’s the silver dragon and the vampire teamed up with the red dragon, and then you still have the Delian nobles. The only way Ell is making any progress here is if he goes off on his own and rips some holes to get some answers. This, of course, leaves his restaurant and friends vulnerable. Not even Rurin is safe, as per the latest drug that was shown off.
Long story short, Ellison needs actual strong allies, I haven’t seen anyone besides him that can actually fight against the bad guys at this point. Or will be continue to brute force like 5 areas at once until something breaks?

At some point if i were in Ellisons shoes i would just start purging.
Delian noble guy and his wife, that silver dragon they just caught (who will probably escape and do more evil shit) that young black dragon, etc…
while i still more or less enjoy reading this, the more i read the MC is just more and more spineless (in many aspects not just his treatment of evil peeps) then he has a “breakthrough” that lasts all of 1 or 2 chapters then his memory gets reset by the MIB and he’s back to spineless. Also just pick a few genre, it keeps bouncing between slice of life to romance to action to mystery to comedy to sad stuff to drama and then back. which would be OK but individually the genres by themselves seem somewhat half baked and seem to stretch the plot out very thin in some spots.
