Oh man… I have a feeling we are about to be hit with a tragic backstory about why she doesn’t smile anymore and is so cold now. Something really bad happened. I wonder if her husband the duke is sick because of whatever happened? Yeah, now that I think about it more. I’m sure something bad happened to the duke because of her, and now she’s riddled with guilt. Because they already showed that she cares for him a lot in that one scene a few chapters back. Looks like our friendly neighborhood Arch Mage Ell is gonna have to get to the bottom of this for our smol boy Dieran!
