Yet another chapter of filler and no progress towards the war. Yet another chapter of Sylvie being useless. YET ANOTHER CHAPTER of Arthur being weak and naive thinking that he can save anyone he couldn’t save anyone in his previous life what makes this one any different?

I don’t remember this pouch thing in the novel. If I’m not mistaken, the Alacryan soldier dies by the beasts. But don’t quote me on that. It’s been at least 5 years since I read it.
Also they are taking their sweet time. Not gonna lie though, this part of the novel is pretty boring too. So many chapters of nothing until you are hit right at the fellings.
The author is painstakingly making it very long before the actual battle, then making the actual battle so nuanced instead of mainly focusing on the battle since he hyped all of us for the battle. Building hype before the battle is good but if you pushed it for so long it will look like the author is just pushing out fillers.
