So i actually got curious, and it seems that it tries to stick close to reality, at least a bit.

According to quick search (so might not be very accurate), what is said here is pretty close to real life – Bundang was planned from around 1970-ies, however, actual announcement was made in late 1980-ies, and only after that, land speculation begun. Before it this land was at the state described here.

And my guy just bought 50000 acres (which is a whopping 202 km^2).
So depending on how manhwa will follow up, aside from 2 years bit, it does make some sense, which is commendable.
