The MC looks exactly the same as when he was 10, just taller. He’s even wearing the same clothes that somehow grew along with him.
It’s not a big deal, but I was hoping for a little more than that after a 5 year skip.
Mc’s growth rate became ass so bad in this 5 year timeskip:
He was able to start and master swordsmanship within a month when he was 9 Years old…. and yet is still not a swordsmaster as 15.
I suspect magic growth rate has probably been ass too since I doubt he has become the 9-Class Magician he promised he would become when he became 15…

I understand to some degree that he doesn’t seem to have had much of a glow-up, but the story is just starting really. If he could thrash his dad in a casual spar, when his dad has been glazed countlessly as the second strongest swordsman on the continent, all of the stakes would vanish. We don’t even know if what his rank is, but I’m guessing eight, and he will finish getting to 9 this season, during the fifth and final year. Reaching 9 off-screen would have, again, nullified everything and everyone around him, because he would once again be alone in his fight against the gods. I for one am looking forward to seeing him show off some cool timeskip gains, seeing how powerful the support cast has become, and what he looks like in his full glory on the battlefield
As for the shorts, that has to just be an artist thing
