I agree with the – sadly negative – comments below. The thing is you need to pick as an author: OP mc or one who starts weak and grows. Tension can be added that way, but this was fake drama. It’s too early for mc to encounter people he has trouble with after his setup. This fight was plot armored in and it feels bad. We’ll see if we bounce back though!

Wow the novel was going just fine and was interesting, if a tad childish. However this forced plot of conveniently forgetting skills is such nonsense. It’s very Mary Sue-esque, and really annoying. If it happens agajn I’ll drop
