… That’s such a stupid classic trope though. STOP. KILLING. YOUR. INFORMANTS! We’ve already established that the underworld has a strong rule against snitch, where they’ll hunt them no matter what to kill them. That’s one heck of a deterrent. Now, you have someone who “defected” to inform you of something horrible and… You kill them? Why? What’s the incentive to ever snitch? Jail him, root out the organization and then let him pick where to be released with a small stipend. This way, you don’t encourage false testimony, but you also protect your informants.
