That contract from the start was flawed and useless when the criminal needs to judge is it a compressed ether or not while the criminal wants the girl power to summon the liquidator and does everything for it. It’s worse that the top secret higher ups even allowed it to be that type of magic contract where one side have no choice as even when done their side it don’t matter

MC is a wet noodle. Always telling himself things need to be done, but continues to do nothing until someone else initiates action first.
Like in the village, with a month before the academy exams, he stayed loitering around for 3 weeks doing absolutely nothing until his master finally headed out to confront the ogres alone, where he then decided to follow with zero prep but a spare, iron sword.
I’m disappointed in his lack of strategic thinking and his unwillingness to take initiative. But some stuff can be forgiven because the MC is from an uneducated and poor background.

Why even build up frustration about not beeing able to do anything about that Proffesor if it didn’t meant anything at the end of the Chapter. Was about to rant how stupid this all was and that I, in Mc’s shoes, would have trained for an assassination attempt
