I’m surprised how much was left out from the novel. A few details:
Harriet said his “dirty beggar hands” bought them and that they were sullied, and he responds “someone else bought them” referring to the 5th year. She then mentions how he still touched them, and he points out they’re still wrapped in something to protect them from his hands. That’s when she relents. The author also notes her shock at having heard him apologize, considering he just got beaten savagely to avoid apologizing.
The inspection concluded with the teacher pointing out that the mc’s ability is way too strong. She says that “what if you believed you were a God or Demon Lord?”
The mc has some internal monologue thinking “I’m both of those things, I already believe that, so nothing would actually change. I’m literally the creator of this universe…”
Throughout the tests, she notices because his speed increases he fails to control his balance and falls over himself.
She also foreshadows a club you’ll hear about called “Exodium…”
