I have to say, the masks make so much more sense…..
In the anime MC just puts on the hood und is suddenly someone else completely, even tho his face is still visible. The Rest doesn’t bother at all

ALSO, wish there wasn’t so much hiding of the real magic, it literally right there, drawn in the background of most scenes, but like isual, completely unmentioned or noticed like it doesn’t exist and should be ignored, just like irl.
