In truth, I will not blame the MC but blame the goddamn author on why did he choose this pick making MC doing reckless stuff, the MC has been doing good for the past chapters, and what did happened?
this situation doesn’t sit well with me, i agree to a point that MC was getting arrogant but until now he didn’t have that level of Reckless courage or whatever they called it, it makes me lose a lot of respect and decreases the likeability of the MC (for me at least) that he just waltzed into what he knew had a high chance of being a trap with zero backup plan. also i get plot armor but dude got stabbed THROUGH THE HEART, never mind weak pulse his heart should have stopped pretty much immediately but i know people will say something about inner energy but he was poisoned and could only use a tiny amount of some other mysterious energy that he pretty much depleted in the fight so how TF is he not dead. there is a point where you’re writing your MC’s close brush with death but you trail off into extremely hard to believe land and for me this is fairly far into said territory and it kills the immersion for me…Having said all that i will continue reading as the story up to this point has been upper tier and this isn’t a deal breaker i just hope there will be some good explanation for all this and they don’t just gloss over it and chock it up to a learning experience for MC

I feel like these last 3 and 1/2 chapters have completely destroyed the character of MC my man was a 14 moves ahead careful planner very smart battlegod..
With the ring that cures poison.

We could have not had the poison ring and so much of this would have been okay hey he’s got poison that’s fine.
