Honestly even if the mc feels that she deserves a bigger share (maybe the drops would be abysmally lower without her that its still a lot better than going solo), he should be smarter about this long term and get the majority split himself for the skill book, which would then give their party an early head start to start making more money sooner. Luce clearly trusts him at this point so he could just explain this to her an promise her the bigger share once he gets the skillbook if he really feels she deserves it.
