The Exiled Reincarnated Heavy Knight Is Unrivaled In Game Knowledge

A lot of people coming here from the anime and dropping that this is great. And also a lot of people here just to hate on it for no reason.

This is not a hate post, but this is not a good manga, and it is not worth picking up.

The MC at every point seems to forget what his character should be doing and never acts as his character should. It is always just, ignore the story, im just gonna take several panels to talk about a skill, then hope the reader forgets we have no real explanation as to why we are here or what we are doing.

As for the combat, its trash, its just waiting waiting waiting shite aura farming then MC drops a “quirky” use of a skill that apparently nobody would ever think to use how he is, despite when we are given the description of the skill that would be the only way to use it. And nearly every fight is just won by, “for some reason he decided to wait 3 chapters to drop the skill that insta wins him the fight”

Other characters, they dont exist, all other characters are given so little backstory, reason for being there. And when they do its just the most boring cliche backstory “oh this man actually killed all my family, and i am only mentioning this now despite us having known eachother for ages” sorta cliche. All characters are pretty much treated as an extension of the MC ability list, then never act in such a way that their characters would they only are a cheap workaround for MC to have more skills than he does.

And the art in the manga drops off so so so much, what at the start seems like well drawn combat scenes, in the end turns into MC standing in a copy and pasted combat stance while he talks about skills for half the chapter, there are times we dont even see combat anymore and we just listen to MC talk about how smart he is with his skills and then we flash forward to the end of the fight.

The writer forgets what he has done. The one thing this writer does is harp on about skills, so it is very clear what skills characters do have, however the writer seems to often forget so skills we know would make this fight easy are forgotten, then in the next chapter we have a few panels explaining why that skill wouldnt work and almost just ret-cons every skill to account for their inability to remember their own manga.

This is not out of hate, this is out of sheer and utter disappointment. We have a writer who just wanted to be the next SAO but just got lazy and now just uses common cliches and tropes and gives the reader nothing interesting.
