And Lucy will descend, on the capital & royal palace, like the world-ending-event that she is.

This’ll be interesting because Ed is going to wake up, and at this point in the game, it’s roll credits. This is completely new territory for the most part, and I wonder how Ed will react once he realizes that he will keep living in this world despite the main story being finished (probably). My guess is a big depressive and feelings wave, and the eventual wife will step in to help him get outta his slump.
The author did a great job at making me actually upset at Selaha and Lortel’s behavior (until I thought about it for a second and her getting Ed to herself once she mentioned the Elte trading company take him). Peak writing!
I think Lucy has my vote for the real best girl, she’s literally done everything the others have but extra (she even lived through the dragon attack each time, soloing the saintess). The competition narratively remains tough, though!
It is not just about isolating Ed for herself. Lortel cannot let Ed inherit the power and wealth of his family. She needs him to be financially dependent on her to maintain the status quo and have her dream where he works with her.
But what will she do about the lazy cat that is always atop Ed?
