As a novel reader, I always thought Marilda (the wolf spirit) was like 45 foot tall and green with wind flowing around her.
Not wanting to change the story is so incredibly stupid, if he doesn’t want to change it he should drop out of the school. But no, he wants to have his cake and eat it too. Simply graduating is going to drastically change the story, the story ends with him begging on the street
